We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.

Collection of Your Information

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Site includes:

Personal Data

Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and telephone number, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the Site or when you choose to participate in various activities related to the Site, such as creating kid profiles or generating podcast content. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the Site.

Child Data

We collect information about your children, such as their name, age, and interests, to personalize the podcast content we generate. This information is provided by you, the parent or legal guardian, and is used solely for the purpose of creating personalized educational content. We do not knowingly collect any personal information directly from children under the age of 13.

Derivative Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Site.

Financial Data

Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase a subscription. We store only very limited, if any, financial information that we collect. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by our payment processor, LemonSqueezy, and you are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions.

Use of Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Site to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Generate personalized podcast content based on the information you provide about your children.
  • Process payments and refunds.
  • Email you regarding your account or subscription.
  • Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Site.
  • Develop and improve our products and services.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.

Google User Data

When you choose “Continue with Google,” we request the following Google OAuth scope:

  • openid profile email – used solely to authenticate you and pre‑fill your WonderPods account with your Google display name and email address.

We store your Google refresh token encrypted at rest in Firebase Firestore, scoped to your WonderPods user ID. Access is restricted to backend services that (a) refresh your access token to fulfill actions you initiate, or (b) revoke it at your request.

WonderPods’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We retain Google refresh tokens only while your WonderPods account is active; they are deleted within 90 days after you disconnect Google or close your account.

You may revoke WonderPods’ access to your Google account at any time from Google Account → Security → Third‑party apps.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance.

If you interact with other users of the Site, those users may see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.   • If you cancel your subscription, your child profiles and any generated content will be deleted within 30 days
  • Transaction information is retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we collect and process your personal information on the following legal bases:
